Raising Capital

A combination of equity and debt may be available in some instances.

Strategic exit strategies are crucial to securing capital from early stage investors.

Information that you will need to consider prior to raising capital.

Total Amount Sought:
You should show the amount of capital that you require. Indicate the minimum amount of capital-raising that meets your basic needs and a higher amount which you feel that the business needs to meet all of its current goals. (If you are seeking a future round of capital-raising, this should not be included in these figures, but should be shown in your business plan.)

Minimum Investment Parcel:
Show the smallest amount that you would like from a single investor. If you only want one investor then you should make this amount equal to the Minimum Amount Sought (above). However, if you are happy with many investors you should indicate the minimum amount that you would like from any one investor.

Industry Category:
You should clearly identify the industries in which your business operates.

Application of Funds:
Identify the stage of your business's growth by selecting what the funds are to be used for from the list.
